Assalama Alaikum waraxmah ya shababal Muslim, here is a beutiful and prettt meaningful message to us(YOUTHS) but little bit long, i hope we will make use of it and read it In sha Allah. Praise be to Allah, who is worthy of all praise directed to Him. May blessings and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad, after whom there will be no prophet, and upon his family, companions and whoever espouses his call to Allah, until the Day of Judgement. Those who took their religion as an amusement and play, And the life of the world deceived them. So this day we shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this day, and as they used to reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations) [ Quran 7:51] Our youth are constantly bombarded with temptation to do evil through modern technology and mass media. The western ideology of secularism and immoral lifestyle choices are the order of the day. Peer pressure plays a significant role in the decisions which youth make. Therefore, its is of paramount importance that our friends be of sound character and beyond moral reproach. It is related in a hadith that the Prophet (pbuh) said; A man is on the religion of his friend, So each of you should consider who he befriends. Friends have a huge impact on our lives. A true follower of the Prophet (pbuh) is one who invites to good and forbids the bad. You, ( true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his sunnah) are the best of people ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Maruf ( i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al- Munkar ( polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. [ Quran 3: 110] Often young people commit sinful and criminal acts through the influence of bad company. On the other hand, the worst of sinners can be lead to the right path due to encouragement and good example of friends. Thus, we should all remind one another, so that we may save ourselves from the fires of hell and so that we may gain the eternal pleasure of heaven. We have a tendency to study the fashion and lifestyles of pop artists, movie stars and the like.Instead, we should emulate the best of role models and we need to look no further that the earliest generation of Muslims to find the best of examples. To put it quite simply in the language of the youth, It can be pretty cool to be descent, honorable, honest and obedient. History informs us of many men and women who devoted their lives to follow the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). There are many such companions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), but I will cite the example of one of the most handsome and youthful, known as the flower of the Quraish, Musab ibn Umair (RA). Musab was born into a wealthy family and raised in the best of luxury but relinquished all the adornments of this world when he embraced Islam. He was one of the flag-bearers of Islam and attained martyrdom in the battle of Uhud. It is related that in the battle, Musab was confronted by the enemy while carrying the flag. The enemy struck his right hand and cut it off but Musab said: And Muhammad is but a messenger. Messengers have passed away before him [ Quran 3:144] He then carried that flag with his left hand and leaned on it. He was then struck on his left hand and it was cut off, and so he leaned on the flag and held it to his chest with his upper arms, repeating the above verse of the Quran. A third person then came fatally stabbed him with a spear. Musab first fell, then the flag followed. He fell after he had struggled for the sake of Allah in the great battle of sacrifice and faith. Despite his luxurious upbringing, he did not leave anything behind except a sheet of woollen cloth. When he died he was covered with that cloth and it was not even suffiecient to cover his whole body. The Prophet (pbuh) ordered for his head to be covered with the cloth and for his feet to be covered with lemon grass. The Prophet (pbuh) stood at the remains of Musab with his eyes filled with tears, love and loyalty, saying: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. [Quran 33:23] How is this segment of history relevent to our youth today?. The similarities is stricking. How many of our Muslim youth are adorned with the best material possession that this world has to offer. How many of our young people are prepared to sacrifice of, if not all of that luxury for the sake of Allah. This Ummah needs more Musab ibn Umairs if we as Muslims want to make this world a better place of all of humanity. According to the famous hadith, seven categories of people will be afforded the honor and privilege of enjoying the coolness of the shade (Mercy) of Allah Almightys Throne, on a shadeless day which will be characterized by extreme heat and discomfort. One of these categories are youths who grew up in the obedience of Allah. In conclusion, we as Muslims, should strive to gain the pleasure of Allah like the honorable companions of the Prophet (pbuh) such as Musab (RA), Insha Allah. Let us make use of our youth before old age slows us down and catches up with us and more importantly, let us not be of those who chase after the pleasure of this dunya and thereby, forget Allah. May the Almighty guide us all and make us of those who are successful on this dunyah and in the aakhirah. Ameen
