Assalamualaikum (: and hi everyone. I was nominated by my two precious ladies Azliza Azhan and Maizatul Aisyah to share my favourite verse of the Quran. I have to say that the Quran works wholly. All the verses are beautiful themselves. Its not a novel or historic book, its a holistic scripture as its Gods words. For it to be as a guidance of life, you cant choose some and leave others. (: To interpret the verses needs one to have a deep knowledge obtained in a long period of learning. Thats why we need scholars who are in the field as our teachers or source of ilm. The backgrounds and histories of the verse are to be taken into account so that it may not be misinterpreted. Hadiths of Rasulullah peace be upon him are also tools to explain the Quran plus the knowledge on Arabic Language. But above all, still Allah is the most knowing. Quran was revealed for us. Hence we need to learn as much as we can so that our understanding can be implemented in our life. It is crucial to be ihsan and ikhlas; sincere. Cause what matters is what in your heart, that is where understanding will come, biiznillah. So, let me share my impactful experience exploring the Quranic verses. Its the last verse of Suratul Mulk. (67:30) Say, Have you considered: if your water was to become sunken, then who could bring you flowing water? Melayunya: Katakanlah, Terangkanlah kepadaku jika sumber air kamu menjadi kering, maka siapa yang akan memberimu air yang mengalir? Its my habit to flip the Quran, and pick one ayah (verse) randomly. I feel blessed that I develop this after knowing some beautiful people in UniKL RCMP, you know who you are :D And so before I flipped and picked this ayah, I was having a hard time. Being hit by problems and not to mention the level of loss (futur). It was so long since the last time I cried (at that moment). I think I misplaced my heart, forgetting how to be a normally-functioned human; servant. It was devastating, trust me. Not a single tear to be shed. Feel like your heart has hardened. Then, I decided to do the flipping technique which Ive left for sometimes. Whole-heartedly hoping only for one reason to cry. Cry over my sins, cry over anything that is worth crying. There it was. Those words. Katakanlah, Terangkanlah kepadaku jika sumber air kamu menjadi kering, maka siapa yang akan memberimu air yang mengalir? Maka siapa? (: Burst. I cant describe the feelings. It was tranquil. Relieved. I cried yes, but I also smiled. I feel grateful. like, Im your servant again. Its that, Im-sorry-for-running-away feelings. I have not a high intellectual qualification on interpreting the Quran. But I realize that to discover the Book, you need a heart. According to the tafsir there are more accurate explanation on the real situation and the right context on the verse. Where after that the lesson learned are to be practised in real life. Furthemore, the sunken water stated is actually referring to the water of the Earth. These are just sharing on the basis of how I feel.
