Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu. Your contributions on the unfortunate incident at Maamobi are excellent. At the bottom of all these deviant behaviour we see being displayed by our youth is manners and discipline. The moral fibre and proper upbringing have broken down to the point of hopelessness, many of the youth we see today have grown up not from what we will want to term as well established homes, where you have mother and father being there to provide that enabling environment for the holistic development of the child; some have even been born out of wedlock, so mother and father who in most cases are teenagers are themselves lacking in many ways. Allaah has a purpose for many of the restrictions He has put on us and limiting our freedoms. We are facing a lot of religious, social and economic challenges, and there seems not to be any solution coming from any leadership quarters; wondring which Muslim office has or is conducting any research into these challenges with a view to finding emperical information to feed into the fashioning of measures and interventions. The whole world is moving forward, but the Muslim Ummah is asleep and in a state of denial of her realities. Allaah will only aid the willing soul, because he has told us in His Holy Book that he will not change the condition of a people until they themselves are willing and taking the necessary steps to change what is within them - the Jaahillyah traits, ignorance, deseases of the heart, indiscipline, and the worst of it all bad leadership. Leadership it is said is cause and everything else is effect. May Allaah guide us to the straight path of thinking and pondering over his word and acting upon it, aameeen.
