Assembly of Zubin Potok, on the initiative of members and civil groups, has awarded the famous Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov six acres of land on Mokra Gora. This was confirmed to Tanjug by president of the Assembly, Stevan Bozovic. In the decision of the Assembly is stressed that the famous Russian director will receive the land as an expression of gratitude for love and unlimited support which he has shown, by words and deeds, to Serbian people. The desire of the citizens of Zubin Potok is that the famous director build on Mokra Gora a village on the model of his colleague and friend Emir Kusturica, the statement says. Nikita Mikhalkov’s last visit to Serbia was in July this year at the European Film Festival on Palic Lake, when he and Emir Kusturica received the Alexander Lifka award. Mikhalkov said then that it was not important whether he received the award, but what was important was that he loves Serbia.
