Assistant Accountant 2 – 3 month Fixed Term Contract – Urgent start Albany location Dynamic, changing environment Our client is a Global company experiencing tremendous growth and they are looking for a self-motivated and confident Assistant Accountant with the desire to take on responsibility and ownership. As the Assistant Accountant you will report directly to the Finance Manager. Your responsibility will include the month end process - posting journals to GL, Balance Sheet reconciliations. Preparing the monthly balance sheet including AR aging report advertising expense vs plan, provide margin analysis, plus monthly management report including P&L by brand vs projection vs plan. Annual budgeting, financial & capital processes to contribute to the strategic planning, providing monthly financial projections. Manage credit, AR & AP collections for final journal posting. You must have had at least three years previous experience at an Assistant Accountant level within a large commercial environment. You will have good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and be good at working to deadlines. Ideally you would have come from a retail / distribution background.
