Assistant Minister of Health asserted that the manufactured medicines locally cover 89.5 % of the market’s need. While the quantity of the licensed raw material in the market hit 1143 as the Ministry has approved to import 123 medical varieties. Furthermore the Ministry has also agreed with Iran to provide unavailable medicines to Syria & it is working to supply medicines from friendly countries according to specific standards. The Assistant clarified that the number of the pharmaceutical factories in the country hit 58 & they work in full capacity.
