The Volleyball Team Australia Men (VTAM) – Volleyroos are in Tehran, Iran for a series of friendly matches with the Iranian Men’s National Team in their lead up preparation to the 2014 World League competition which starts on the 23rd of May with Australia taking on Belgium. Iran and Australia played their first friendly scrimmage match last night and Iran showed their class as reigningAsian Champions and the advantage of having been training together for a month, playing very consistent volleyball to win all 4 sets played. Australia started the match with Harry Peacock returning to the court for the first time in more than 12 months following major hip surgery in 2013 which saw him miss the entire international season last year. It was great to see Harry back on the court after so muchhard work and personal effort to return to the team. Australia played well in patches, but were overall inconsistent in their skill execution in their first hit out for the season.
