Assyrian song ( Lamassu ) George Homeh Winged bull , Lamassu Winged bull is a huge statue of a length of 4.42 m and weighs more than 30 tons. It is guarded by a pair of individual sections of the city wall (Dur Sharrukin) built by the Assyrian King Sargon II (721-705 BC) and abandoned by Sennacherib, the son of Sargon II, where the transfer of the capital to the city of Nineveh. It was a symbol of strength and wisdom and courage and Highnesses, was famous Assyrian civilization oxen winged, particularly the Kingdom of Assyria and palaces kings in the city of Nineveh and Assyria in northern Mesopotamia, and that tomorrow the symbols of this civilization which relied force as a principle in its policy and spread.
