Astrogeomancy by Liu Ming for Monday, September 8th 8th moon / 15th day : HEART / Harvest : “Water Horse” The day is an unusually pivotal day as it is a change in the qi node and the much-celebrated Moon Festival (though full moon does not occur here in CA until 1:38 am Tuesday). The full 8th moon has been celebrated for so long that it has acquired a dizzying amount of layers and legends. It is a chance for poets, singers, musicians and dancers to offer up their arts to the Moon Goddess (usually accompanied by cups of wine). The more common celebration is made with tea and “moon cakes” (a kind of Chinese pastry) that officially recognizes the annual harvest. The qi of the day emerges from cooperation that comes to fruition with great confidence and worthiness. The indicators this year are brilliant for a Moon Festival. It will separate the men from the boys, the fantasies from the solid plans, the flings from the true loves – so watch out, but expect the best to win. Go easy on the wine (and tea) as excess (even for the young) could tip the auspices upside down. Finding what was lost, rekindling romance and recovering your health are indicated. Be amenable to shared rewards. Even if you experience loss today it is ultimately auspicious – in the long run. At work, do your best; follow instructions of your bosses and mentors. It is ok for moving house and travel (even emigrations). Lawsuits will land you in jail, and building, weddings and burying the dead invoke disaster. Do not sell property or buy high price items. Do not visit the sick in hospitals. The Bladder channel is open. Lung 7 and Kidney 6 are open in the Bladder hour (3-5pm). Personal self-care is enhanced. Disciplines related to exercise and diet are enhanced and bring unexpected rewards. Chronic indigestion responds to treatment, as do spleen and kidney vacuity. The use of 3 or 4 modalities (acupucnture, herbs, massage, qi gong, diet) works far better than one or two. Second opinions are a good idea. Create broad based treatments rather than intense ones. Chasing what you believe is an exacting diagnosis could be harmful. All surgeries are contraindicated. dayuancircle.org
