At 3:30 this morning, Manuel and I were rudely and abruptly awaken by a loud crashing noise in our bedroom. My first panicked thought was that somehow Manuels dialysis machine fell to the ground from its table top. Luckily, it was just a very large painting with a wooden frame that fell off the wall and crashed into the trash can on its way down, sending the trash can and its lid surrying across the bedroom floor. The hanger from the back of the painting just disintrigrated over time. Mystery solve. Manuel is sleeping like a baby and I am now still wide awake. Therefore you all get this 4 a.m. message from me.
