At Front Porch Pickin at the Country Music Museum last night...Donna Mills Fitch and I had a conversation about all the talent that lies in the hills and hollows of eastern, Kentucky! Its unreal and most are not trained musicians/singers...just have God given natural talent! As Donnna said its just authentic talent! Just wish Nashville would send more reps to this area to tap into this! Kids like Andrea Scotts son Tim who has a crazy good voice/Jared Goforth one of best banjo pickers around(my former student-lol)/ Isaiah Newsome...crazy good guitar player/McKabe VanHoose who can play bass-beatbox, etc.../Chelsea Stepp and Kelsie May two singer songwritersin my opinion with far more to offer than one young talent who shall remain nameless(lol) but is a superstar today...I could go on n on with others just that we see at the Museum on a pretty regular basis but these kids need to be given a shot! Just pondering this as I was listening to a couple songs from YouTube a couple of them have on there! Most better than what we are seeing/hearing on the Idol stage this time too! Oh well...
