Today I learned the farm that I work on was originally intended to be a network of international farming communities dedicated to the study and preservation of biodynamics. I guess that explains the portrait og Rudolf Steiner in the main building. Unfortunately most of the acres facilities are no longer in use after 6 years ago when the executive director made some bad investments and nearly all the staff were fired. There is nobody here named Michael Fields. The farm is named Michael Fields after saint Michael the archangel. The staff here still performs biodynamic rituals in honor of the funding the farm gets from its founder. This is a more interesting blend of Christianity and Paganism than Christmas itself. Perhaps I can restore some insanity to this place!
