At Maison d Ava Whimsical Elegance, our focus is on making memories. As you all know, I handpaint all signs with extreme care and love - I know I am making forever signs for all of you. I have a successful homesteading blog and always used to share a weekly moment picture as a reminder for all of us to remember who we are and how we impact others lives. I would like to carry on the same tradition with my group page. Tonight, I was in the bath and could hear Ava in bed reading her books out loud, oblivious to the fact that I was listening. It was music to my ears. Last year, Ava got sick with a rare condition and had a C grade in her reading at school - she became extremely frustrated because she didnt believe she could read. I started to ask her to read the signs I painted....and we worked on the wording (she could read the different fonts!) Ava then accelerated in her reading and obtained A at the end of the school year which was remarkable! I jumped out of the bath and had to capture this pic of Ava reading a book that I used to read her when she was a baby. Now she can read it herself! Priceless...
