At Physical Therapy today. With discussion of those I know who have coverage through the ACA versus not having any insurance at all, versus someone who had private insurance and now has the ACA and is NOT happy with it, Im on a mission to gather more than 4 opinions! To gather more information on those that have it and if they liked it, I asked my Physical Therapist who was very positive about how her patients feel, because as she put it, youre talking about people who could not afford to have medical insurance who can finally afford medical care, some its the first time they have had health insurance ever. Of course I did not get that on tape, so I asked the front desk and got her opinion. Starts at 30 secs into filming. Not everyone is going to be happy with the law, certainly not those who once could afford private insurance for comparison. I care about the majority of those who actually have it, 3 out of 4 friends love it and a physical therapist lights up when talking about it and the front desk receptionist who takes everyones payment seems to assess those ACA holders are satisfied. Looks like ill have to do more digging for people who actually use it. But so far, I only have one negative ACA user who used to have private insurance, 3 positive, grateful users because it had been years since they had insurance (when they lived with parents or had a better job), 1 Physical Therapist who has multiple patients on it and seems to think it is a good thing and 1 front desk medical receptionist who thinks its working although you may only get 10 out patient visits on the ACA as opposed to if you had a PPO through BlueCross BlueShield. Will continue my research only asking those who have it or doctors offices who have to deal with it.
