At a recent conference, there was a lady present with a learning disability since the age of 12. She had been a victim of rape and as a result of the trauma developed difficulty learning leaving her unable to attend high school. As Bill called for people to symbolically lift off the restrictive headbands from people with learning disabilities she felt the the pressure disappear and the trauma of the entire experienced left her. In addition, a car accident and subsequent surgery 25 years ago had left her with a herniated C6 disk and crooked vertebrae that still caused her pain. When the headband was taken off, all the pain from the hernia also left! BJ
