At a young age, I was encouraged to read, read and read. I soon became an avid reader of the monthly subscription to the Readers Digest, the daily Tulsa World (morning newspaper) and the daily Tulsa Tribune (evening newspaper) and many other publications and books. This even included the editorials which always provided a wealth of knowledge that made for some rather interesting conversations with other elementary grade school peers. Every summer, we spent weekly time in our neighborhood library traveling abroad to thrilling places. Establishing reading habits among the young and being informed certainly can enhance a persons career path later in life. Consistent reading among the young improves a society.
