At about 3:25 this guy goes from having a plaster cast of a foot, to a workable last. The skipped steps have me curious. It looks like they just added plaster and shaped from there. It seems like a cheap way to prototype your last, but is he only able to last on it because of their super thick insole? I cant imagine plaster being strong enough to withstand the pressures of lasting. Or is this some magic kind of plaster. Ideas? And any other tips you might have on making your own lasts. Thanks :)
