At an elementary school basketball tournament in Taos: Dear Dr. Torrez, This evening I, along with hundreds of other students and parents, attended the basketball tournament at Enos Garcia Gym. The game that I attended started at 5:30 and ended shortly before 6:30. When we came out of the gym many of us noted that there was NO lighting along the walkways or on the icy steps leading to the various parking lots. This is a serious problem as there were grandparents and handicapped people, some in wheel chairs and it was all around a very dangerous situation. You may want to rethink having evening events until adequate lighting can be installed. Or, until adequate lighting can be installed, at least some of those small solar lights along the paths or having staff with flash lights to assist people in getting to their cars. This is a very serious situation.
