At first it just looks like a knife... and then you hear the artists story, the background of what it was, and what is yet to come... thats when it becomes fascinating to me. Suguha hamon (impressive Damascus like wave) on the other. Wood mount is Lake Superior salvaged curly/birds eye birch and the habaki is being started from Keeweenaw float copper (copper carried by glaciers). The blade has machine ground finish in these pictures.. and quick-etched to show customer patterns.... Im not sure if the people Im following are more bladesmith, storytellers or dreamers...
