At risk of sounding corny, let me tell my story of why Im a CB3 - TopicsExpress

At risk of sounding corny, let me tell my story of why Im a CB3 fan. Back when I was a nerd in Jr high school and my only interest was music,I used to sit around and listen to WKDF out of Nashville with a blank cassette in my stereo at all times to record anything that caught my ear. I was just beginning to try and pluck on a guitar at the time. Bands seemed like a larger than life thing to me living in a small town. I just assumed you had to be from a big city or another country to get anything done, then I heard the WKDF Nashville tapes and pressed record as Powered By Hate by a little band called Disarray came on,fronted by CB3 himself. The southern tinged metal immediately caught my ear and as I realized they were from a small town as well and making things happen, my view on what music is and where it comes from was changed immediately on the spot. I carried tat cassette tape around for years until it was finally lost in a car accident nearly a decade later. I never did much with it but I kept with guitar and bass and played in a couple of bands and played in Nashville and Murfreesboro and various parts of Tennessee, mostly due to rots being planted that it was possible the day I heard Disarray. I seem like a CB3 butt kisser on occasion but Chucks work literally changed my view on what was possible and influenced me heavily from the moment those first chords of Disarray came out of my old Sony stereo in my bedroom. Ive done my best to follow ever since and Im a permanent fan. Long winded but thats my story. Hes never gotten his due but there are a few of us that you put a stamp on along the way!
