At the Greece Y tonight I ran into my football coach from Edison Tech, Joe Camillacci - in his early 70s and still looks like he could kick ass. He coached the lineman and backers and was the D-Coordinator and Special Teams Coach. He made me believe that on every play, no more matter whos across from me, I was the baddest dude in the Rochester City School District. We had 11 guys on D playing like that. We were very mean in the Fall of 1980. We had at least one turnover or blocked punt for a TD in every game. You always remember the lessons of your elders. Ill never forget his sage advice: When that ball is snapped, you have one job...drive your face mask through his throat and then throw him at the ball carrier. (...That actually works, by the way). Later on at the Y, he came back to me, and said Hey Allen, youre a music guy, come help us out. And I spent an hour helping his wife feel Beat 1 of the 8 bar phrases in preparation for her State Aerobics Instructor Exam Routine. (Takin Care of Business, Bachman-Turner Overdrive)
