At the Support for Taiwan rally in Adelaide yesterday someone noted that Governments all over the world are behaving like this, in Greece, Spain, Australia and many many more. These governments believe they can do whatever they like, make laws which do NOT benefit their peoples and in general simply IGNORE the very people who put them there in the first place. It seems to be more commonplace in so called Democratic countries, like Taiwan, Australia, Iceland etc and particularly in countries that owe significant monies to the World Bank /IMF. This is not just a one-off situation in Taiwan or Australia or Greece or Spain or , or.. Not only does it happen, corrupt INTENT by the parliaments of these nations, but it is getting more often and bigger each time! Have politicians everywhere lost any sense of country? of Values? of pride? Have they forgotten WHO they work for? It sure seems to be the case.
