At the VA you can sign a piece of paper that allows your spouse/caregiver to talk to your doctor and get information if needed. I had let mine expire and didnt resign a new one because I thought I had came so far in my treatment that I wouldnt have critical times where this would be necessary. I was wrong and filped out becoming paranoid and physically destructive again destroying shawns computer. Shawn tried to call my docs but because I let the paper expire they said I had to call. Problem was I wasnt in a state that I could. Dont do what I did guys. Sign the paper and keep it updated. And yes I know what I did was wrong I really dont remember it and we will be addressing that with the doctors.
