At the end of this Council, Buddhism is divided into 18 - TopicsExpress

At the end of this Council, Buddhism is divided into 18 communities with their own interpretation of the Code and Discipline enrolled at the heart of Scripture. Yet gradually, these orders are grouped into two major clans; each following a particular philosophical lineage. Indeed, some align themselves with what they call: the Mahayana - or Greater Vehicle - and say you have to deny the existence of the soul. And others hide behind the Hinayana - or Lesser Vehicle - and suggest that the soul does not escape the Temporal Discontinuity. This is when the followers of the Mahayana decide to teach their doctrine wherever they can, and each time they won towns and villages to their cause, to erect the Sacred Pillar. Then they began to carve figures emblematic representative Yaksini and Yaksa on top of them. At the same time, they explain Aboriginal around them, that have Yaksini opulent forms. They reveal that they seduce passersby and pilgrims near Sacred Crossroads. They then describe them Yaksa male, but by confusing sometimes with Ghana. They trace their their portraits in the form of Giant frozen in unnatural attitudes. They draw them to their side, scenes from the Jakata; who are recent Popular Stories recounting episodes from the life of Buddha. They combine their many symbols such as Solar Thrones, Wheels of the Act, Trees, Lions and Elephants. Finally, they point out that they all have these allegories apotropaic functions. The Followers of Mahayana also transform their Stupas in Tombs, and intend to kings and heroes who rallied to their vision of Buddhism. In fact, they redesign the architecture of their buildings, transforming within their galleries. They carve on the walls of texts that designate Relics locked in their rooms, such as Seeds of Immortality. They also raise Columns of bricks so that they cross the Stupas through. They give them the title of Axis Mundi, because for them, they Symbolize the World Axis. On their facades, they cut three to seven domes meant to evoke Heaven Superiors. They trace the Suci, representing the Zodiacal Stations. Above them, they chisel square railings suggesting the Citadel of the Gods who rule the Firmament. And before them, on the ground, they embody the four Cardinals Point using Torana these solsticial Equinoxiales Doors and that the Sun is supposed to cross at its Annual Travel. The followers of Hinayana them, hint at another vision of Buddhism to the people they align themselves with their doctrine. They declaim their first of all they should not accept the fact that members of the Mahayana Community, in turn Siddhartha Divine Being. They adjure them not to tolerate Dhyana and Bodhisattva in their pantheon. And they advise them not to listen to those who believe that Vishnu was incarnated as Buddha, because it is they who spread false beliefs. They then explain that their eternity of the Divine form is comparable to the unalterable condition of the Stone. Teach them that they, through incantations, their Belief provides access to Perfection. They tell them that they will deliver the words at the time, allow them to Materialize countless deities. They say that when they will trace their symbols, or employ their Rites, they will accompany the Magic Practices listed within very Old Manuscripts. They announce that they are to appear their charts so they have the appearance of squares and circles representing the Four Ages of Humanity. And finally, they tell them that it is so they do not forget their precepts, they intend to grant them the title of Master, and that they intend one day to Initiate new Disciples. But while rallying many populations to their precepts, the followers of the Hinayana are turning more and more to regions inaccessible; and therefore, regarded by many as Mysterious. Thus, they now pilgrim way in direction of Ceylon, Burma, Siam, Laos, Cambodia. Then they cross borders Mongols, Chinese, Tibetan, Korean, Vietnamese. And finally, they leave the Asian Continent, and set foot in Japan and Indonesia. To 460 before our era, Queen Maghada becomes the mistress of a barber. But with some time away, it takes advantage of its privileged position to slay the Emperor Pataliputra. Supported by several influential families, he seized the throne of it. And with the Clan Jain, he managed to start his own Imperial Dynasty: that of Nanda.
