What makes the US military so strong today is the same thing that made the Nazi military so strong back then. That is: beating the war drums, glamorizing the military, producing nationalist propaganda, and the general us vs. them mentality of both leaders and citizens. Wars have always and will always be those in power vs. those not in power, rather than country vs. country. Rise above the nationalistic propaganda, and experience love for your fellow citizens of the world regardless of their skin color or geographic location. We are all one. Military and non-military alike, I love you all.
