At the foot of the Statue of Liberty it says, “Give us your tired, your poor, your hungry, your huddled masses yearning to be free. Over 50 years ago my mother arrived in New York City without knowing the language, having much money or the culture. She was a girl that grew up in Nazi Germany and endured WW2. What a sweet strong woman. The things our mothers sacrifice for our well-being and future happiness. I love that sweet German lady. I love my mom... :)
