Since you read this page, these numbers have changed dramatically, this is the number of animals killed worldwide by the meat, egg, and dairy, fishing, fashion, cosmetics, animal testing and other industries. Staggering numbers killed by the hands of humans. We should be outraged at our involvement in these numbers.I think some of the numbers are small such as the cows, calves, turkeys & pigs but still it gives you a reference point. We would be outraged if this many pets were killed each year. I attached the link with the counter still going so you can check it out anytime. Perhaps a good school project read the counter each month and discuss ways to slow down this violence towards the animals of the planet. Their very existence is our existence.
