At the penultimate Frostbite cross country league race held in Bourne, the Hunts AC Juniors made a little bit of club history with their fifth consecutive win, beating the previous four-race winning streak set in 2007 when they last won the title. Despite competing in the Anglian Schools cross country championships in Northampton the previous day, Andrew Worrall led the club home in fourth place, just 19 seconds behind the winner. Joey Croft, who also ran in the Anglians, Jade Cox and AJ Ellwood all finished in the top 10 in a field of 169 runners. Francesca Worrall, another Anglian Schools competitor from the previous day, was second girl to finish, just seven seconds behind the Cambridge & Coleridge athlete. Two years younger than the C&C runner who moves into the senior race next year, Francescas future in this league look bright. With the final race taking place at Hinchingbrooke Park on Sunday, 2 March, the league title for the Hunts AC juniors is all but in the bag. In the Senior race, Matt Pyatt finished first for Hunts AC in 8th place, while Siobhan Skinner continued her excellent competitive ascent by finishing as fifth woman. With one race remaining, the senior team is almost guaranteed a second-place finish in the league.
