At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to reformation to renaissance to progress to prosperity to love to power to brilliance to harmony to sanity and to peace. At this stroke of midnight hour let’s awake to a New India. We are corrupt- Oh yeah! Our economy is in shambles – Agreed The neighbors are threatening yes – True that Our leaders are apathetic to our problems – I hear that But are we a pure diamond? Are we a pack of civilized people out to change the world? Are we incorruptible? Are we sane? Are we out of the dogma? Are we perfect? No. We Aren’t. We are as imperfect as our country is. So at the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps let’s wake up to perfection. I love my religion, I am proud of my color, I respect my community but is that it? I am a Hindu so would a Hindu leader understand my problem always? I am a Muslim so would I be blinded by what the fanatics around me preach? Would I let them create states and sub-states out of my country. NO. This 15th August, I’ll say no to dogma, I’ll say no to false beliefs. I’ll spit at the beards of the self proclaimed god-men. I’ll say Yes to logic, to sense and to my own self. I make the society. The society makes a state and the states make a country. If I improve, I’ll improve the country.
