At this very moment, I cannot help but recall a certain memory in my life that will now become that much more significant. I cannot recall the actual date but I remember that a large group of friends and I had purchased tickets to go see Mudvayne in Chicago at The House Of Blues. I remember it pretty vividly because the weather was very bad. The rain was coming down so hard that you could not see five feet in front of the van. In addition to that, the van we were riding in was very dangerous. No back seats at all. I am pretty sure the wind shield wipers didnt even work. Together we partied on the way to Chicago, risking our lives to go see what we felt was an amazing show. I have visited the venue many times since, but that moment sticks out among them all. If I recall, I am pretty sure I wasnt even 21 yet. In less than a week, I will be taking that same stage with some great friends and partners in music. We have worked very hard to get to where we are. Through member changes, band stress, bad weather and anything else you can think of...we have ultimately reached a goal that we had set at the beginning. Together we have accomplished so much in a small amount of time, playing some of the most reputable venues around the area that we have wanted to play since we were young. Since I was 16 years old, playing a venue like the House Of Blues always seemed impossible. This is a real dream come true. I can only truly hope that the people that I want to be there, will be there to share it with me. I know four other important people in my life that will be there to share it for sure - Ron Kooima - Kyle Ewers - Nick Ewers - Victor Figueroa Sunday we make memories!
