At times I man the cash register at Habitat of Humanity so I would like to clarify some things about non profit cahiers: Yes, we get a lot of wonderful donations so we can sell them to you for a fare price, no we do not sell $300 Brogano shoes to you for $2 just because you feel you should get them for $2 and as you put it, they were given to usfree, you are wrong, we sell them to you for $75 because we need to make money so we can build the homes for the needy, got it? No, I will not barter with you, this is not a game it is a business of getting a fare price for a good product, do you barter with Bloomingdales? No, we will not take your crap. If it is not good enough to give to a family member or good friend then we do not want it, it must be in resalable condition, so stop thinking you are doing something wonderful when all you are doing is unloading your crap and costing Habitat money to have it towed or hauled away. Stop and learn something about this or any other non profit before you open your mouth about how badly it is run, or manned or any other criticism that comes to your mind, go on the Internet and learn what a non profit must do and how hard it is to do, then open your mouth, it can only benefit you. Last thank you,, thank you, all of you that donate the wonderful things we sell and thanks to all the clients that buy, you are all greatly appreciated.
