At what point did we lose sight of the fact that cramming something down peoples throats more often than not produces the exact opposite effect than the supposed motivations for these types of particular actions? Its human nature to resist that which is thrust upon you; sure, you get to beat your chest & revel in the inevitably temporary victory but its completely counterproductive in terms of education. The only people youre going to convince are the weak, feeble & hive-minded. Whats their loyalty worth? They can just be bullied into the opposite position two seconds later. If you really want to change minds youre going to have to actually actively appeal to & respect your oppositions intelligence - anything else is just a circlejerk.
