Atiku Condemns Kano Bomb Blasts, Says His Heart Bleeds A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has criticized the latest bomb blasts at the Kano Central Mosque today, November 28. Atiku Abubakar He also criticized early bomb blasts in Kontagora (Niger) and Maiduguri, capital of Borno. Former Vice President released a statement by his media office. He said he was destroyed impersonally by the frequency and savagery of insurgents attacks on innocent people, adding that this constant violence succeed nothing. According to Atiku, the attacks on mosques, churches, schools, bus stations, markets, shopping plazas and other heavy human targets, hold the teachings of all known religions of the world. APC presidential aspirant said his heart always bleeds at this reasonless violence, adding that it was high time the Boko Haram sect abandoned violence and clutched peace once and for all. He called on Nigerians to be more open-eyed and share human intelligence. At the same time Atiku asked the country’s security forces to be ahead of the insurgents with better schemes. While admitting that terrorism is a comparatively new security challenge, ex-vice-president said more activities are needed to improve detection of Boko Haram before they achieve their targets. Atiku expressed his condolences to Nigerians and government of Kano State, Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and the Kano Emirate and the families of all those who may have been killed in the heinous attacks in Kano, Kontagora and Maiduguri.
