Attention All: Worksop Amateur Radio Society is having an open day this Sunday. As part of the YOUTHS ON THE AIR celebration. Anyone with kids, teenagers, grandchildren are invited to our clubhouse, where we will be demonstrating all types of exciting communication equipment from Morse Code to the latest Digital Radios ..... we will even allow you to make contact with other people in hundreds of countries whilst you are supervised by our experts. Cubs / Scouts / Guides ect .... bring your leaders ..... come along and earn another merit badge. Parents / Grandparents .... bring the kids over for an hour or so ... there will be loads to do and lots of demonstrations and the chance to get hands-on some great and exciting technology. We also are excited to have a live demonstration of a home-built 3D printer too. Denis, our 3D printer Guru (as seen on TV), will be able to show you the latest cutting edge step forward in home 3D printing. We have our own WW2 communication operative - Derick , he will be sending morse across the globe from his special morse shack - come and have a go tapping out your name in morse. We have teaching facilities and we are a registered exam centre. With amateur radio sets now costing under £30 for portable radios, it is now a very affordable hobby for all.
