Attention, Muslims: The definition of corruption in textual - TopicsExpress

Attention, Muslims: The definition of corruption in textual critical language refers to any disruption in the transmission of the written text over time. It does not mean that the original is lost, altered, forgotten, destroyed or replaced. Restoration does not mean we have no idea of what the text originally says. Corruption does not mean loss of the text, or its replacement or destruction. -- Dr James White What this means to you is that the next time you want to say, YOUR Christian scholars say your text is CORRUPT!, think twice because the same corruption applies to your Quran. There are NO original texts available for either the ancient (Christianity and Judaism) or medieval (Islam) religions, but we can know what these documents looked like and what they said from the copies that we have today. For example, we have the Sinaiticus, DSS and Septuagint for the Christians and Jews, and the Topkapi and Sanaa texts for the Muslims.
