Attention NURSES, great 2 week job: We are looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner to work at an Oil and Gas Mine in Western Australia. Emergency experience would be great. Training would need to take place early April for placement from 24th April – 8th May. We are paying $3,600 per week (7 days). All travel, accommodation and meals will be provided while on site. While training is being conducted in Perth, all travel, accommodation and transport will be provided. PREREQUISITE – Nurse Practitioner Certification is needed. Please call ASAP on (03) 86339713. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Patient assessment and diagnosis · Patient triage · Prescribing medications · Ordering and analysing pathology and radiological tests · Referring patients to other Health Professionals including onsite General Practitioner · Undertaking patient care on referral from other Health Professionals · Direct inpatient care as directed by the Project Manager; · Provide emergency response, resuscitation and stabilisation of critically ill/injured patients · Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based to facilitate positive patient outcomes; · Ensure nursing services are provided in a manner sensitive to, and appropriate for, people of Indigenous and other cultural backgrounds; · Develop and implement evidenced based policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines; · Participate in relevant committees, meetings and project requirements as directed by Project Manager; · Contribute to staff and patient quality and safety systems that meet required clinical standards and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements; · Manage facility licencing requirements in relation to role as a Nurse Practitioner; · Provide reports and audit results as required by Project Manager; · Support the professional development of peers to practice at an enhanced level of isolated health care practitioner. · Participate in peer review and case review procedures as determined by the Project Manager and/or Nurse Manager; · Provide leadership in coordinating and implementing quality improvement activities specific to the nursing role and as directed by Project Manager; · Identify opportunities to improve and promote evidence based clinical practice; · Maintain knowledge and skills in all identified mandatory requirements for ongoing credentialing and employment; · Participate in continuing professional development relevant to context of practice and project requirements. · Regularly interact with client and consumer representatives as required; · Develop and promote positive relations with clients, carers, peers, medical staff, allied health colleagues and consumers. · Develop and maintain a culture of patient-centred care within the project; · Promote a caring environment where equality and diversity issues are respected and consumer/clients and their carers are enabled to be partners in their care; · Other duties as directed by Project Manager.
