Attn: Cyclists in Central Mississippi. Tonight, the city of Brandon is holding a public workshop to gain user input for their bicycle master plan TONIGHT, January 13 at 6 PM at the Brandon Municipal Complex. ANYONE with an interest in bicycling in the Brandon community is welcome to attend the workshop; RESIDENCY IN BRANDON IS NOT REQUIRED. The citys goal is to prepare a master plan that will improve bicycle facilities throughout the community by identifying routes already being ridden, identifying small low cost projects, and prioritizing bigger long-term projects. In order to make this effective for cyclists, the city needs YOUR input to help identify major bike connectors, locations that need to be connected, popular routes, potential opportunities like sharrows and road diets, and existing problems that may exist. YOUR input will help the city conduct a thorough analysis of current bicycle facilities and will help allow them to create a new and improved route network plan for the city Brandon. Please attend this important public meeting TONIGHT at 6pm to show the city that cyclists want a more bicycle friendly Brandon!
