Audrey and Oliver have been learning about the various phases of the moon, and to spice up our lesson a little bit we played, the step-dance moon phase game! Lots of giggles, especially when mommy took a turn...So fun! How to play: cut out the different moon shapes representing the various phases of the moon-you dont have to do four, you can add more. Then pick a fun song to use for the game. As you call out each phase the kids step or hop (careful if you have slippery floors!) to the one you called out. Pause the song at unexpected moments and give them a tickle if they get caught moving after you pause the song. (Or tickle them anyways because they are so cute!😋). Then turn the song back on and continue the fun! Speed the game up for some extra giggles and grins!! Another idea is to do this outside in the driveway! Just draw the boxes with the moon shapes inside! I could even see this turning into a hopscotch moon phase game! Have fun! 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌜🌛🌙
