Aug. 14 (W): “If two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.” (Mt. 18:15-20). – This verse ends Jesus’ topic on reconciliation. Team up with someone today and find time to pray together. A ‘prayer partner’ is better than a sparring partner. Aug. 15 (Th.): “For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leapt for joy.” (Lk. 1:39-56). – Feel God’s greetings everyday. In the whisper of the wind, the cry of an infant, the laughter of children, the drops of the rain, the rays of the sun. Dance with the Father. Enjoy His presence everywhere. Aug. 16 (F): “Not all can accept this word, but only to those to whom that is granted.” (Mt. 19:3-12). – Each state of life, whether married, religious, priest or single, has a share of joys and struggle, and blest with a particular grace. Take God as your partner and companion in life. You’ll not only survive, but also be fully alive. Aug. 17 (Sat.): “Children were brought to Jesus that he might lay his hands on them and pray.” (Mt. 19:13-15). – Children now live in a chaotic, confusing and complicated world. More than ever, they need our blessings and prayers. Bless them with your life, good example and guidance. Teach them to love prayer. Let them see you pray. Aug. 18 (Sun.): “There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished.” (Lk. 12:49-53). – Jesus came to save us from sin by giving up his life for us. Find the reason of your existence. Achieve it with all your might. Then make an ‘accomplishment report’ as Jesus did in his life. Aug. 19 (M): “All of these I have observed, what do I still lack?” (Mt. 19:16-22). – ‘When you ask for something, be sure you can take the answer.’ The rich young man was shocked with Jesus’ answer: sell what you have...and follow me. What do you desire most in life? Are you willing to give up everything for it? Wish to follow Jesus. He’ll help you do it.
