August 13, 2014 Positive Christianity Ministries presents...Positive Daily Inspiration Use Your Words As a Blessing Let your speech always be gracious. Colossians 4:6 We use many words every day, for that is how we human beings communicate. But do we ever stop to think of the good or bad effect of our words on others? Commit with us today to use only positive words towards others. Words can be: happy or sad; helpful or harmful; warming or blistering; true or false; complementary or critical; humble or proud; humorous or cranky; healing or wounding; sympathetic or cruel; optimistic or pessimistic. This day, let us each endeavor to use positive words that will have a good effect on others. Let us banish the negative words that are harmful to us as well as to others. Above all, let us emphasize words that pertain to our commitment to God Truth – words such as love, faith, joy, inspiration, peace, health, and harmony to all. I met R. H. Grenville many years back, I was privileged to be able to read the work written below called Words. Words can be arrows, sharp to wound, or girders, strong to build. Words can be comforted gently poured till thirsty hearts are filled. Words can be torches for the mind when all the world is dark, a staff on which the weak may lean when trails are steep and stark. Words can nest within the soul like white doves in the tower or fly beyond times farthest bound. The Word of God is power, and all the words that frame human thought take root in consciousness. Blessed are they whose words inspire and help and heal and bless. Commit to working with God through your words. Build, not tear down. Make all your words tools to help, to heal, and to bless. We pray every day that are words will help you, heal you, and bless you. I pray, dear God, that I become more aware of You. I pray that I never feel shut out, but always included in Your circle of love and joy. I pray that I am aware that I am in Your circle – the circle of Gods love. I pray that this circle is a protecting presence around me fencing out my fears and frustrations.
