August 31 Do you know HIM? Did you know that we have been called - TopicsExpress

August 31 Do you know HIM? Did you know that we have been called to be Christ’s Ambassador’s but what does that really mean? The meaning is a very important official title given to a high ranking officer, messenger, or representative that is to be used for negotiations or an important mission to be accomplished. That is what we have been called to do. You are probably saying I could never do anything that important and I’m not equipped for a mission like that. If you know Him and you have surrendered your life to Him then you are called into this life. He will supply the words to speak. Tell people He places in your path about the gospel of Jesus dying on the cross for all and give your testimony of how He changed and touched your life. When we surrender our lives then it is not us who lives but Christ who lives in us. He said the old things pass away and then we become new creatures in Him. I can tell you in my life this is so true. I had nothing to give before He changed my life and made me into what I am now. Who I was is not who I am now. I take this job as serious as my life. Now that I know Him how can I not tell people about Him? He has given me a reason to live, move, and have my very being with Him. I also have never had so much fun in my life because it blows my little mind away to think that the God of the universe can use me for a purpose above all else. He does walk with us and talks to us. So today get to know Him and take your job as Ambassador seriously. Every day is exciting and new when you surrender your life to HIM! 2 Corinthians 5:11-17 11 Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too. 12 Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart. 13 If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. 14 Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
