August Community Night August 18 Lifeline is excited about a series of events that began in 2013 called Community Nights! The next one will be on Monday, August 18. This community night will be happening all over the country in several of our state offices as adoptive families gather for a time to connect & fellowship with other adoptive families as well as have a short teaching time on a pertinent adoption topic that we hope will benefit you in your pre or post adoption journey. August’s Topic is “Practical Strategies for Promoting a Language Rich Environment Post- Adoption” This talk with cover simple and practical strategies that parents can incorporate into daily routines with children learning a new language and adapting to a new environment. Strategies will apply to all ages, abilities, and will give parents a way to communicate with their child from day 1. Talk will also cover special language- delayed populations and specific strategies to use with a child with a known language disorder. *We do please ask that only parents attend. Childcare is currently not available at any of the locations. Once you register, if childcare is made available at your location, you will be notified of that option. You may register here for most states and here for Washington. https://lifelinechild.org/event/august-community-night/
