August: Osage County premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last night, and already the accolades are rolling in. Based on the Pulitzer Prize–winning play of the same name by Steppenwolfer TRACY LETTS--which was inspired by the Dumas novel La Dame aux Camélias--the JOHN WELLS-directed, GEORGE CLOONEY-produced film centers on the dysfunctional Weston family of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Starring a cast from hell: MERYL STREEP, JULIA ROBERTS, EWAN MCGREGOR, SAM SHEPARD, CHRIS COOPER, ABIGAIL BRESLIN, JULIETTE LEWIS, DERMOT MULRONEY, (the fabulous) MARGO MARTINDALE and... wait for it--BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH. In theaters soon.
