Aunt Ava Posting Max, his Mother and I went to a Pediatric Rehab appointment with Dr. Elizabeth Moberg-Wolff today, she specializes in Pediatric Rehabilitation/ Head Trauma. She said Maxs physical performance was excellent and his cognitive function was great compared to many of her patients.She was very encouraging in that she will help us to access (through her continued care) other specialists and services to teach him how to navigate without his vision. Vision Forward is a big part off the blind/ visual impaired community in our state. She spoke of him finishing school and how we will get a plan together for high school and beyond. Max has an excellent memory and loves history. His memory will help him navigate into his new future. Max did a mile on the treadmill and he is working on gaining strength and muscle back it will take time. Dr. Wolff prescribed some medication for his headaches that should help. His headaches may be apart of life for him, average for TBI is 6 months to a year. Max is positive, patient and hopeful. One day at a time. vision-forward.org/about-us/
