Aust.Grand Ch.Jonquilow Mozarts Pride It is with great sadness that John and I share the news that Maestro has died at the grand age of 15 years & 3 mths. He enjoyed great good health throughout his life, but in the last 2 months he developed heart failure which led to kidney failure. We gave him peace when it became obvious that he no longer wanted to eat or drink and that there was no joy left in his life. In earlier years Maestro was well known on the Australian show scene, having achieved his Grand Championship, many Best in Group & Best in Show All Breeds & Best in Specialty show awards but his lasting legacy for us is that he was a wonderful companion and a joy to live with. Looking back over his life now I realise that I had never, ever, heard him growl! Our home now echoes with memories of him, and I still hear the pitter patter behind me as he followed me from room to room. Maestro was a gentle soul, and we shall miss him forever.
