International Science and Engineering Fair ( Intel ISEF ) 2014 Great! Two Indonesian Girls Wins Two Awards Intel ISEF 2014 USA they both Successfully Making Refrigerator Without Electricity & Freon :D Two young girls from South Sumatera succeed the name of Indonesia in an award ceremony in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair ( Intel ISEF ) held in 2014 in Los Angeles , United States . Two student from SMAN 2 Sekayu (Highs School) , South Sumatra Indonesia, namely Muhtaza Aziziya Syafiq and Anjani Rahma, won two awards at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair ( Intel ISEF ) 2014 in Los Angeles , United States, on 11 to 16 May 2014. they do research and development refrigerator without electricity and without freon . Through scholarly work titled Green Refrigerant Box , Muhtaza and Anjani successful award winning Focus Development Award and a prize worth 10,000 U.S. dollars from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID ) . They also won the Third Award worth 1000 U.S. dollars in the category of Engineering : Materials & bioengineering . Scholarly works without electricity and freon refrigerator is focused on wood utilization paperbark as an alternative solution to air fruit and vegetables . With technology developed Muhtaza and Anjani , the initial temperature of 28 degrees Celsius in the refrigerator without power and freon is able to go down to 5.5 degrees Celsius in 2 hours 20 minutes. The idea of developing technology is based on the potential of the natural resources of fruits and vegetables in Musi Banyuasin Regency , South Sumatra . However , the district has a problem related to electricity . Intel as the leading technology and Anjani Muhtaza to Intel ISEF 2014 believe that the younger generation is the key to developing innovation . Anjani Muhtaza and hopefully will inspire other students to engage in science, technology , engineering , and mathematics as a basis for creativity . The world needs more scientists , Creators , and entrepreneurs to create jobs , stimulate economic growth , and address the global challenges , said Director of Public Affairs Intel Indonesia , Deva Rachman . Intel ISEF this year, followed by more than 1,700 young scientists selected from 435 competitions in more than 70 countries around the world . Other major winners , more than 500 finalists received awards and prizes for their innovative research , including 17 Best of Category winners , who each received a $ 5,000 gift to the U.S. dollar . Intel Foundation also give grants worth 1,000 U.S. dollars for each of the winning schools and local competition they represent. The Intel Foundation also selects a number of students who received an award to attend science competition for 11 days in sino . They had the opportunity to speak with researchers Intel in Shanghai and visit the Panda Research Center in Chengdu . Congratulations to Muhtaza Aziziya Syafiq and Anjani Princess Rahma !
