Australia needs a new National Anthem. The white racism in Australia is still thick, bolstered by NATO ties that make non-Westerners into security threats...when we all know who is bombing the crap out out of others in real-time, not in films, computer games and imagination. Don Tolman declared in the film we were in together (The Wheel of Life, 2009), that the world of the "Imagination" was the future. (He is famous for detox and diets.) I still consider him wrong. Imagination and the Mythic Level of Consciousness go hand-in-hand. They fuelled the mercenary conquest of most of the world with the Big Ships going out...the big Technologies... The imagination of refugees to find a safe haven in the Land Down Under is also in their imagination, the myth of the Freedom of "Democracy" and consumerism for many of them, and freedom via little boats motoring away from wars instigated by the same conquering "Big Ships" scenario. Knowledge is more important than Imagination for most because the imagination lies continually, knowledge does not. We are lied to continually by images. Hence I enjoy much to see these posters turning the "settler" image around so more "White Australians" can see themselves originating from far away, carried over land and air by vehicles to indigenous territory, and themselves being the invader. We live amid breathtaking hypocrisy, hence it makes it harder to break with the duality in soul and psyche, to establish a better and different world in actuality, not just in imagination. Dr MAG
