Author Bootcamp - The Publishing Journey with Author, Editor and Coach Cassiel Knight September 23 - October 20, 2013 About the Workshop Navigating the world of publishing can be a frustrating trip fraught with potholes and barriers. This workshop will provide an overview of things newer writers and authors need to know to safely and sanely travel within the publishing world. The presenters will give attendees tips and tricks as well as some inside information to help authors at the early stages of their careers better prepare themselves for a career in publishing. She writes paranormal romance with an archeological and mythical bent for Samhain Publishing and Lyrical Press. Her debut release from Samhain, Key of Solomon, is an EPPIE 2011 finalist. She works as a freelance content editor for several epublishers and has taught several craft and career workshops to aspiring authors at Rose City Romance Writers and Greater Seattle RWA. Amanda Bergeron, Avon and Impulse Associate Editor Amanda Bergeron joined William Morrow as part of the Avon team in 2008. She acquires romance of most subgenres for both Avon and digital-first imprint Avon Impulse, but she is particularly on the lookout for contemporary romance. Some recent and upcoming titles on her list include A Town Called Valentine by Emma Cane, Somebody Like You by Candis Terry, Skies of Fire by Zoe Archer, and The Warrior Laird Margo Maguire.
