Autumn is everywhere i look,every smell i smell,sound i hear,in the food i taste and the air i feel.The garden has slowed down to allow the fruits to complete their ripening,the natural gifts that we can gather,nuts,apples,berries,all ready,or nearly ready,to harvest.Im about to embark on more plum preserving,and when i have done that i will be picking elderberries to make a vitamin packed syrup,cobnuts,blackberries and rosehips.i am always mindful when collecting from the trees and hedges,that i leave more than enough for the wildlife around me.The vegetable garden hasnt been a huge success this year,mainly due to my neglect.but there are marrows,courgettes,3 types of beans(the runners always do well),so a few yummy things to eat.Over the next few months i will get the garden ready for next years growing.I need to feel independent from having to always fall back on others,in all areas of life,not just food production!Therefore,growing more veg and fruit is a must,as is getting work so i have my own money. The children going back to school tomorrow feels like a natural right,lets get on and make changes for the better time.Its been lovely having them here,but every summer things slip,the house,garden,work,the lot!I love the not having to be somewhere at a certain time feeling,but it can turn into not being anywhere at all. There are positive steps to be made,goals to aim for.The garden is one.Next year there will be better beds and more veg.And flowers!I would like to be more self sufficient with regards to power.The search for freedom from the ties that bind me to the real world will continue,obviously.More focus on spiritual growth.And creativity.im on a path searching for the right turning,that will take me nearer where i should be heading.if that makes sense?I need to find work,which may be mundane,but sadly to achieve your goals require a bit of money to put into it,whether its to buy a taxi (id love an old taxi as my car),a truck to live in or to do a course that you would like to do (i would like to learn and practice herbalism,anyone know any courses i could do that dont cost hundreds?). So thats where i am at the moment.As well as surrounded by millions of plums.xxxx
