Avery Brooks was really the first Captain that at times ruled by physical intimidation and anger. Not to say he wasnt fair opened minded and generally a good person. (which he was) But lets be honest he bullied Quark and blackmailed him to stay, he would raise his voice when he was mad, and in negotiations as a tactic he got right in your face and stared you down hard as hell!!! Also there is the false flag mission he pulled but we will ignore that because he had to do it.......right. Generally these thing make him a bad ass, and standout as Captain.
